To the Powers Family both those direct and indirect:
May everyone's fond memories of him be your source of healing, because you KNOW his smiling face is in heaven. After my catechism class would be see and talk to each other at the 10:30 mass at Fourteen Holy Helpers church. He was a very special person and will definitely be missed even though the last few years I was not able to see him much, but we would write to each other at Christmas.

We thank God for Barney in our lives for almost 50 years. We were part of the "CYC Kids" at St. Bona's back in the late 50's and early 60's. Mary & Barney, as our adult sponsors, gave us such a good example of loving, caring, fun Christian living. On our frequent trips back to Buffalo, we have enjoyed our get togethers with Barney & Ruth. Barney was my first baseball coach in 1952 and he was like a father to all of us. While he and Mary did not have children of their own, they had countless children who thought of them just like their Mom and Dad. Just 2 years ago when my Mom passed, Barney was there!! Barney was my grandmother's (Monica [Neu] Graesser) cousin, and my great-grandfather's (Edward Neu) nephew. He was close to all of the children (Ruth, Norm, Dan), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Harold and Monica Graesser, plus all of our related spouses and friends.
