Not sure what to say?

Bernie will be missed very much so. Words cannot express my sadness. He lived a great life and was loved by all. It was a pleasure being able to be a part of his care for so many years.

Bernie was a truly fine person with whom I always enjoyed working. He had tremendous nachas from his children and grandchildren and a wonderful marriage. We stayed in touch after he retired and he never failed to mention how proud he was of his family. He also made tremendous contributions to the world of Jewish publishing. Truly a gentleman and a good friend, who lived a good life and leaves behind a wonderful legacy.

We will miss Bernie in more ways than he could ever have imagined. He was a fixture in our lives for more than four decades.

To his friends and family, my condolence. May our heavenly father bring great comfort and peace. Psalms 9:9

To the family and friends of Bernard Scharfstein. It is very difficult to accept and cope with the death of someone you love. God will fulfill his promise to comfort you in this time of mourning. Matthew 5:4

He was a good friend and will sorely be missed
