Not sure what to say?

Bernie was my classmate and friend. We studied together and shared memories. He spent time at John Raks home in Buffalo NY and we went to all the reunions he sponsored. God bless him. From Archie

Bernie was my classmate of '53. He was a great basketball player and football player. I attached some pictures from my archives of Bernie. I probably have more in my archives. We had good times at the reunion. But we are passing away one by one. RIP Fr. Bernie.

I still remember the great days at Kanty and the reunions during which we shared memories. Rest in peace, my friend. Ed Szemraj, Class of 1952

Four years have gone quickly by since Fr. Bernies passing, but the memory of our friendship still lingers. I am reminded of the happy days we shared as students at St. John Kanty Prep in Erie PA. After graduation, Fr. Bernie was the driving force in promoting and sustaining an active alumni association. He continues to be remembered in my thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace, Bernie.

Fr Witkowski: tremendous help and extremely fair--a guide through my later years at Cardinal O'Hara

I met Msgr. Witkowski the first year Cardinal O'Hara opened, my sophomore year. He was Disciplinarian on the 'boys side' of the school. Father asked if I'd like to work in the Discipline Office which I did for three years instead of attending study hall or an early lunch period one of those years. He came to my graduation party and we kept in touch with one another now and then during the years after that. Am sorry to learn of his passing and am so happy to have known him.

We love you!

Dear uncle Father Bernie,. I will always remember the good ole days with you and our family in Philadelphia. We have the best closes family I know and I wish everyone the best of everything and I know you will always be watching us all as you did your entire life. You will always be in my heart forever and the lessons you tried to teach us really worked! We are an amazing family, so thank you for all you did to make life better for the people you helped and how proud we all are to have had...
