Bernice Druzolowski

1915 - 2014

Bernice (Madey) Druzolowski, 98, of East Hartford, loving wife for 44 years of the late Edward S. Druzolowski, Sr., went to join her husband in Heaven to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Born in Hartford on October 6, 1915, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Malicki) Madey, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1954. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford and Manchester Memorial Hospital. A woman of strong faith, she was a faithful member of Crossroads Community Cathedral, East Hartford and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Most of all, Bernice was a devoted wife, mother, and sister who loved her family and spending time with all of them. Besides her beloved husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Madey of Wilson, and a sister, Agnes Macher of Old Saybrook. Bernice is survived by a son, Edward S. Druzolowski, Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of DeLeon Springs, FL; a caring daughter, Helen M. Druzolowski of East Hartford with whom she made her home; two brothers, Chester Madey and his wife, Ryszarda, of Suffield, Joseph Madey and his wife, Margaret, of Windsor; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be Friday (January 10th) at 12 noon at the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, (Section D), East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11 am to 12 noon.
