We will remember Bernice as one of several friends of our Mother who taught us the art of friendship and joy of community. I remember Mrs. Merritt as a smiling and kind person, a respected neighbor and Mom to three of the nicest kids with whom I rode the bus everyday. Though I've been away for years, I extend my condolences to you, Mr. Merritt, and to Alan, Randy and Christine. My prayers are with you all.

Peace to her memory.
