Bernice Sammarco Obituary
Born and raised in New York City, Bernice moved to Sussex County more than 35 years ago. She was a cashier at QuickChek in Newton for 10 years. Bernice was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Swartswood.
Bernice is survived by her husband of 45 years, Salvatore Sammarco Jr.; two daughters, Michelle Marie Sammarco, of Blairstown, and Jennifer Jean Hatkie, of Paterson; a brother, Mickey, and a sister, Millie, both of Queens, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 10-11 a.m.. at the funeral home.

Bernice and I worked togethr and you came in to fix the copy machine at Michel Cather Advertising. We were secretaries. I also visited you in the trailer in New Jersey. I witness the two of you falling i love on the job and I also went to your wedding at least i was the church in LIC. What a lovely lovely gal she was. I never forgot her.

Dear Sam
I am so sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. I got to know her many years ago when I worked at the general store in Stillwater and shwe would come in for her lottery tickets. She is at peace now. Many fond memories of her.
