Ms Tillman was an unique and inspiring Educator...she introduced me to the classics in poetry and literature that helped round me out intellectually...RIP

Dear Family of Mrs. Bernice J. Tillman:
My siblings and I were deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your Loved One. We remember Mrs. Tillman fondly from our English/ Literature and Language Arts days at T. W. Josey High School. We were also Lucky Street neighbors. She always stressed the importance of standing straight and speaking clearly. When we think of pronunciation and enunciation, we think of Mrs. Bernice Tillman. We are so very sorry for your loss.

One of the best teacher at Thomas Walter Josey Comprehensive High School. My deepest sympathy. Ms. Tillman taught me Greek Mythology in 1983 and she was a gemm. To God be the glory for her life and how she touch so many of us.

Take your rest with the Lord.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Ms Tillman. I am truly honored to have known such a great educator. I enjoyed being a student in her class room and will always remember her teaching logic that helped to mold me into the person that I am today. God Bless..Thank you Ms Tillman and rest in peace. T.W. She was there as we grew up, she was there when we all went to high school at Josey and taught us. She was there when we went to college and when we became adults. It's hard to comprehend that she's gone but we do...

Ms. Tillman, I will miss you. I will never forget your warmth and kindness shown towards me, my mom (JCJ) and sister (Candace). As a child growing up, I remember you always treated us to Red Lobster on "pay day" ;-). You also rewarded me whenever I did well in school. Thank you for being an inspiration to me and influencing me to strive for the very best in life. Rest in Peace.
