Bess Isaacs

It is deeply saddening to learn of Bess's passing shortly after the celebration of her 100th birthday. Her beautiful obituary is a loving tribute as well as a reminder of the strong, positive impact that she and her family had on northeastern New Mexico. The daughter of a pioneer physician in Clayton, Bess married a neighbor Bob Isaacs whose family operated Isaacs Hardware, one of the state's oldest mercantiles that served the region by selling everything from baseball mitts to windmills. ...
