Not sure what to say?

I had the honor to be in many of Bessie's journalism classes from 1968-72 at the College of Southern Utah (now Southern Utah University). Bessie was much more than a college teacher. She was a true friend who cared for me and her students. Bessie was patient when I made mistakes in writing. She was always available before and after classes. Rhonda, I read of your mother's passing and wanted to send my condolences to you and your family. I know your mom did so much for the community of Cedar City and for people individually. I haven't seen you for -- dare I say -- 50 years, since you and I worked together for Jack Cannon at the SUU Financial Aid Office, but I have always remembered your kind, sincere, and helpful personality. May you be comforted at this time by all the wonderful memories you have of your mom. Carol Black

For many years we lived in the same neighborhood on 900 West. She was so loved and will be missed. Our love and prayers to Kent the family.

So grateful for this beautiful lady and for the opportunity I had to work with her while I was attending SUU as a freshman many, many years ago. She truly cared about all of her students and always had time for each and everyone.
