Bessie Maralou Phillips Kent, 82, of Waynesburg, died at 6 p.m., Wednesday, September 08, 2021, in the Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesburg.
She was born Thursday, June 22, 1939 in Waynesburg. A daughter of the late Luther Thomas Phillips and Effa Amelia Lemley Phillips.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, in Waynesburg. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, country music, and bird watching. Maralou was a loving homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Harry Wesley Kent.
Also surviving are 2 Daughters; Debbie (John) Stewart, of Waynesburg, and Amelia (Rick) Teagarden of Marysville, Ohio; 1 Granddaughter, Amy Amelia Teagarden of Fairmont, W.Va.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in the Milliken and Throckmorton FH, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director, 197 N. Maiden Street Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 with Rev. John Poling officiating.
Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery, Spraggs. Information is online at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com.
