I am so sad to hear of Betty's passing. She was such a good friend to my Mama, Beth Gunter Granger, when they worked together at Alexander Elementary. May she Rest In Peace and rise in glory.

Betty taught my son in second grade over 18 years ago, but she not only took an interest in her students she helped the entire family unit so the student could succeed. I know because she helped me. She helped me go back get my diploma , graduate, then she her husband and Pam Kroeg Bruce took time to come to my graduation to support me. I am so sorry to know that I have lost one of my very best friends. Betty and I were as close as sisters for more than fifty years. I will miss her more than words can express. To John and Bruce, please know that my sorrow is exceeded only by your own. I will miss her for the rest of my life.
