Not sure what to say?

My Grandmother Alice Spilker Hudson was your mother's cousin. I had Mrs. Heslup the last year she taught. She has been and will remain my favorite teacher. I have lived in Florida now for over 13 years. I have kept in contact with her since I graduated high school. She came to both my high school and college graduation parties, and it meant THE WORLD to me that she attended. She has touched so many peoples lives and she lives in all of our hearts.

We wrote letters to each other,...

Sorry for your loss. We know she was a wonderful lady because her daughter is a wonderful lady. Sending love and prayers....Your Shiloh UMC Small Group

Aunt Betty, and all of you, are a treasured childhood memory that never seems to fade. I'll never use one of her recipes that I don't think of her, and smile! And I'll never forget Hickory Street and the fire flies! xox

My sincere condolences go out to the family for your loss. I had the good fortune of having Mrs. Heslup as my second grade teacher at Elm Street school in the early 70's. She was the kindest and most encouraging teacher that I encountered during my school years. She was such a special lady in so many ways. Her big beautiful smile, her warmth, her kindness and the constant encouragement she always offered, made such a difference in my life, and I'm certain it did in the lives of an untold...

Best wishes and sympathy to the Heslup Family. Your Mom was the greatest! She was not only beautiful on the outside but more beautiful on the inside. My first born son (Greg) had her in 2nd. grade and we truly loved her. I was active in her classroom and she was so very special. She will be sadly missed by so many and she touched so many lives. After 47 yrs. she always remembered my son's name. Thank you dear Betty and God Bless you all!

Scott, Shelley and John~
I taught with your dear mother at Toth for a number of years. She was a such a kind caring teacher who gave so much to the children. I will always see your mother with that beautiful smile. Please know how sorry I was to hear of her death. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

Scott, Shelly and John: Your mom was my mentor, friend and hero. I student taught with her in the Spring of 1970 (2nd grade) and I learned more from her in those weeks than in 4 years of college. I never forgot the way she treated children ("Never call them kids," she told me), how she was always smiling and positive and how she found good in every child. I went on to teach and be an administrator and retired in 2005 and I KNOW that she was with me every day of my career. Her...

Sincere thoughts to Shelly and all of the family. Many memories from the past...Friends mean so much at times like these. Ramona and Carl Mercer

John, I was just telling my freshman son about your mom a few days ago when we were talking about teachers. I will always remember her as a kind and caring lady who had a beautiful smile for anyone who needed one! My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Cherish your memories and remember she lives on in you.
