Betty Stucky Obituary

Betty J. Stucky, 88, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away peacefully with family at her side on September 27, 2025, Betty was born in Warsaw, Indiana to the late Gerald Y. Denny and Julia (Eugene) Belschner on July 12, 1937. She graduated Central High School in 1955 and worked at Lincoln Life for several years. She met and married the late Charles "Tad" Stucky on June 16, 1957, and became a loving and devoted homemaker. "Betty Boop" as she was known by many, loved bowling, reading, sewing, and cooking. She was a great Pinocle card player. Betty was a long-time member of Our Hope Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Guild. She loved reading her bible. Betty was a delight and was very encouraging to all. Betty was also preceded in death by her grandson, Gregory Doan. She leaves to cherish many fond memories and legacy to her children: Brenda (Craig) Houston, Thomas (June) Stucky, Barbara J. (Craig) Snyder; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services celebrating her life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Our Hope Lutheran Church 1826 Trinity Drive Huntertown, IN (46748) with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, October 6, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. (46815). Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials are to Our Hope Lutheran Church. Fond memories may be shared at www.mccombandsons.com for the family.
