Beverly Eno Obituary

Beverly Eno

June 13, 1932 - September 11, 2025

Mrs. Beverly Jean (Ohl) Eno, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday September 11, 2025 where she was constantly surrounded by an incredible amount of love and support.

Born on June 13, 1932 to John August Edward Ohl and Orpha Laverne (Eutsler) Ohl she was a miracle baby weighing only 2 pounds. She came into this world small but mighty. Her strength, strong will and tenaciousness stayed with her throughout her life.

She was a graduate of Davenport High and went on to marry the love of her life, Jack C. Eno on July 21, 1950. Together they built a life full of love and shared countless memories for over 60 years before his passing on April 30th, 2010. She has missed him for so many years and can now rest peacefully with her beloved Jack where she has longed to be.

Beverly was truly the definition of a caregiver and dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career as a candy striper at Davenport Osteopathic Hospital during and after graduating high school. She later went on to teach after school ceramics and pottery classes at the Davenport Friendly House for 18 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Davenport, a dedicated community volunteer and a member of The Pilot Club of Davenport.

Beverly was so gifted and had such an amazing talent for art and enjoyed sharing that passion with her students as well as her family and friends. She had a gentle hand and loved all nature around her. She was a published poet and found great enjoyment in reading, gardening, crocheting and antiquing. Cooking was such a part of her life, preparing meals and setting a bountiful table in her home illustrated her overflowing love for her family and friends.

There were so many wonderful things about who she was, she was present, she was gentle, nurturing, kind and loving, caring, thoughtful and giving… She was easy to spoil and so easy to love. She was all things good. She was a feeling, like a warm, inviting and comforting light that was felt by everyone who knew her and left you with a constant presence in your heart that she was always going to be there if you needed her. She was the kind of daughter, sister, wife, mother, cousin, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, neighbor that made us all feel endlessly blessed and lucky to have had in our lives.

Beverly was truly a treasure, the kind to always be loved, to always be cherished, to always be shared and especially to always be remembered. She was so beautiful inside and out and was a profound blessing to us all. She will forever be deeply missed.

"Until we meet again, keep hootin' it up our spunky little owl!"

Beverly is survived by her son, Steve Eno (Jean) of Blue Grass, brother, Dan Ohl of Bettendorf, grandchildren Dawn Devlin (Josh), Lisa Eno, Elyse Morales (Ryan) of Davenport, great grandchildren Fallon, Ella, Calvin, Lowen, Milo, Jackson and Bentley of Davenport.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, sister Jacqueline (Ohl) Hottenstein and brother Gary Ohl
