BILLY & I WERE IN THE SAME FIRE TEAM IN KOREA. WE WERE CALLED THE BLACK JACKS. 1ST MARINE, BAT, BAKER CO 2ND PLT. I HAVE A FEW PHOTO'S OF US IF YOU WOULD WANT THEM. I went to Austin high school with Billy and we joined the USMC and served in Korea together. I will miss our annual visits.

The family of Olga Ramirez Gallegos extends it heartfelt sympathy to Billy's family. Olga's life crossed with Billy's when she searched for her brother, Joe Ramirez, Sr, who was listed as MIA in the Korean Conflict. Responding to an article she found in the newspaper, she wrote to the Chinese Republic inquiring about her brother. She soon received a letter from Joe saying he was a POW in China and there were others from the Houston area in the same camp, one being Billy Brown. The Houston...
