I worked with Bill at Moncrief-Lenoir in Houston. He was always so helpful when I was trying to learn and his great sense of humor was appreciated by all of us fortunate to work with him. He always talked about his children and grand children, and he obviously adored his wife Bonnie. I will always remember Buford, Barney and Driver Enterprises, and lunches at unusual restraunts he had discovered.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mr. Driver has been a neighbor to me
Ever since I was three
He was the kindest and most gentle man
Always working in his yard and lending a hand
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
My deepest sympathy.

I was in the same Army reserve unit with Billy back in the late 1950's or early 1960"s. We lived in the same neighborhood at that time so we would ride together to the reserve meetings. I always enjoyed his company and the entertaining stories he shared. I moved and got out of the reserves and sorry to say, I lost touch with Billy. You were right in your comments that Billy "never met a stranger" I am sorry for your loss..

Uncle Billy was always a sweet, humorous man whom I never saw with an angry look on his face, always a happy one! He was a great, great, man and will be sorely missed! I'm glad my father Harold now has his brother Billy, as company. Heaven's luckly to have these two angels!

My uncle Billy was the greatest. He and I loved Chilly Willy. I am so
unhappy I don't know what to do.
He spread joy to all the young and especially to my brother and I. He was
always happy and loved football. He will be missed, especially during
family Chilly Willy gatherings at my house..
We love you Uncle Billy.
Your nephew,
Maverick Driver

Tricia and I are truly sorry for your loss. He always seemed to be a friendly, caring man; a man of integrity and self reliance who loved his family and grandchildren. How I wish there were more like him in this world.
