Christian,Candice and I deeply feel your loss. We will always remember your mother's wonderful greeting: "Hey Baby." Her smile and encouragement were gifts from God.

We was saddened to learn of the death of your mother,"Birdie". Viola and I wish to extend to you and to the members of your family our sympathy. Her loss will be sorely felt, and as you know Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity still feel the loss of George, and I am sure the Alphabettes will miss her also.

We are so very sorry for your loss. We wish that we could have been there. We both will miss her so much. She was an inspiration to us both and we feel that she was an instrument that God used to help us along our path. Please know that you have our deepest condolences.

Mrs. Vaughn was a very inspiring teacher. As my own chld has progressed through our school system, Mrs. Vaughn was the standard by which I measured those who taught him. Atkins grad '69
