Blanche C. Vasquez, 69 of Bethany, formerly of Rantoul, died at 12:54 a.m. Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 407 W. Pells Street, Paxton with Fr. Nestor Sanchez officiating. Private burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rantoul.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, at Baier Family Funeral Services, 406 E. Pells Street, Paxton with rosary beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Blanche was born January 12, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas the daughter of Roger and Corinna Ibanez Cavazos. She married Victor Vasquez May 1, 1976, in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death December 19, 2013.
She is survived by a son, Victor (Crystal) Vasquez, Jr. of Buckley, a daughter, Melissa (Rob) Pierceall of Bethany; step son, Marvin (Nicole) Robinson of Century, West Virginia; four grandchildren, Olivia King, Skyler (Lily) Evangelista, Matteo Vasquez, Alexis Robinson; two sisters, Belinda (Roger) Garza of San Antonio, TX and Barbara (Keith) Lynch of Watseka.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; daughters, Stephanie Marie Vasquez and Joann Herrera; son, Pablo Herrera, III and sister, Bernadette Hemp.
Blanche was a homemaker and foster mom. She was also a teacher’s aide in the Gilman School District.
She enjoyed crocheting and puzzle books. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
