BIRCH, Bob Legendary Bassist Bob Birch, 56, Finally at Peace, by Michael Anthony Perna To quote one of my favorite Elton John songs, "We're crippled and we're dazed. A gardener like that one, no one can replace." Bob Birch was a legendary bass player, a devoted husband, a proud father, a loving...

Not sure what to say?

I just discover you today BB, amazing charismatic man, and excellent musician. So sad that you passed away. For sure your energy and your kindness are always shinning between us. You are a good man BOB ! and excellent bassist ! Hello from Shahnour in France.

Didn't know him at all, just only through the videos with Sir Elton John and the band.As I noticed him he always looked very solemn, very serene and quiet.May his rest be peaceful,he is at his real home now.

Bob and I went to high school together and played in jazz band, concert band, pep band, etc...our lives revolved around our music. He was such a fantastic musician and a good friend, and I had the opportunity to chat online with him only months before his passing (and had NO IDEA he had been with EJ that long). I loved the guy back then as I do now...an incredible talented individual, humble, passionate, etc. Rest In Peace, brother. One heck of a jam session is going on up there! We miss you,...

Bob was a great friend to me and a fun jokester!

Bob will always be remembered. I light a candle on this day ... 8 years has gone so fast... always in our hearts.. xxx

Remembering the devoted husband, father, friend and skilled musician, Bob Birch. Anyone who ever met him will carry him and those he loved in our hearts forever. He is so missed. Be at peace, sweet man.

The greatest ,free from the pain

You are so missed and loved. I never got the chance to see Bob perform live. But he lives in his music and in our hearts. Rest In Peace Bob no pain just peace.

Really miss you Bob, though we met only a few times for the interview. You are a great influence on my life and playing. You were a tough guy, and you held in the pain, like soldiers do. You had to go, I know. You are a player to the core, and I wish for your spirit to be imparted to future generations. RIP
