Back in early 1990's I was a starving actor waiting tables at a restaurant in Burbank Ca. Bob and his whole family would come in each Sunday night after his radio show and I would wait on his table. He was the nicest, kindest, and most generous customer I ever waited on. Rest in Peace Bob. Thanks for the great memories.

Bob. King. Was a. Great. Man

I discovered Bob as I lay in a hospital bed recovering from brain surgery. I was 13, and nearly 40 years later, I am deeply saddened over his sudden passing. What a great loss to country music. He was countrys Casey Kasem, and no one can ever replace him! RIP, Bob. I miss you so much!

As someone who worked in radio for 35 years in northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and west central Illinois, I had the chance to interview many country stars who came through our area: the Oak Ridge Boys, Ronnie Milsap, Mickey Gilley, Aaron Tippin, Lorrie Morgan and MANY others. I honed my skills by listening to Bob Kingsley on KMEM 100.5 FM in Memphis, Missouri. We mourn the loss of this great country legend. R.I.P. Bob Kingsley.
