Bobby was a senior at OU when I was a freshman. We all looked up to him as a man as well as a football player.
He was friendly and treated everyone with respect. Sorry for his passing. My condolences to his family.

Bobby was a friend to everyone he met. I am glad I got to meet him and let him know that I have been a Colt fan for life, because of him.

Wanda & family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bobby was respected and admired by so many.
He will be missed.

No. 25 my father thought Bobby was the greatest!! As a young girl he was bigger than life to me!! He became a fine man and husband. A father and businessman also. Bless his loved ones during this time. Loved you Bobby for a great childhood hero and the decent man you became!!

Wanda and family,

I met Bobby when we were freshmen in high school. We were friendly enemies on the football field, basketball court, and baseball field. He was great __ on and off the field. I liked him very much and his death diminishes me. I'm most thankful to have known him.

God bless you in your time of sorrow.

I met Bobby in the late 1980s when he was handling the awards ceremonies for the Homer B. Johnson-Garland Alumni Basketball tournament at GHS. I wound up interviewing him for a journalism class project and he was, simply, one of a kind. Hearing the news of his passing did catch me off guard. But I guess God needed him more in Heaven now than here on earth. I offer my condolenses to the entire Boyd family in this time of loss.

One of my heros growing up. Bobby was larger than life, as I followed him through out GHS and beyond. From the observation of a 13 year old Garland schoolboy, he inspired me to work hard and strive to do my best. Thank you, Bobby!
Rest In Peace, my friend.
