Not sure what to say?

Dear Kim, Donna, and Bobby Jr.,

On behalf of the Ugly Angel family, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the occasion of Bobby’s untimely passing. Like you members of his natal family, all of us Angels were praying that somehow Bobby would receive the organ he so desperately needed and recover sufficiently to join us at another reunion. Sadly, it was not to be.

Though Bobby has left us to join his beloved Lynda, he will live always in our memory as the outstanding Ugly...

In 1968, while in the "Uglies," I came to know Bobby as an exemplary Marine, and a great person to serve with. Needless to say, many of us also looked up to him. Our world is better because of him.

I served in HMM362 66/67 an it was an honor to serve with such outstandng Marines. My condolences to the family. May God bless his family in these times. S/F

Bobby was the skinny Marine in the tool room -- always in good humour, always with a grin, always ready to go the extra mile to get the job done right. And his attitude hadn't changed in 1998 or so, when Ben Cascio and I took him along to change the fuel pump on Moriarty's 34 so we could fly it to Yuma.

We miss you, Bobby.

Sorry to receive information Bobby Passed on. I was in the squad bay opposite his at tustin Ca. I served with the Uglies in 1967. I will never forget him.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his children and grandchildren for their loss. We all will miss his quick wit, his southern drawl and his smile. He was part of our squadron and will remain forever in our hearts. But most of all, I believe that he made each of us feel like he was our best friend.

The world is a poorer place and Heaven a richer one, with Bobby's passing. (I served with Bobby in Nam in "67-'68 and was CO of '362 in '80.)

I worked in the S-4 of HMM 362 from December 1967 to January 1969 and although I did not know Bobby personally, I knew of him. He was known throughout the squadron as a hero. The few times our paths did cross, he was always friendly and had a smile that brightened the darkest of days. I offer my sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

I served with Bobby beginning with the Aviation Schools in Memphis. We were in the same Helo class. I served with him again in HMM-362/67-68, the "Uglies!".
