In memory of Bowman (Bo) Lee Wilbanks, who passed away at his home on Friday, November 27, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Bo was born to Edith (Bowman) and Theron Wilbanks on August 5, 1935, at his grandparents' home, in Greenville, Texas, delivered by his grandfather, Dr. Martin Lee Wilbanks. He was the oldest of two children.

Bowman attended schools in the Fort Worth area , graduating in 1953 from Arlington Heights High School, where he enjoyed playing football and running track. He went on to earn a 5-year Chemical Engineering Degree from Rice University in Houston, and an MBA from the University of Texas, Austin.

In his career in the oil and gas industry, he worked for Tenneco, Hudson Engineering, Matthew Hall Engineering, and MW Kellogg Engineering , on various projects in the Middle East, South America, Europe, the North Sea and the Netherlands.

Upon retirement, he taught math at Kingwood College, Kingwood, Texas.

Bo was a devoted family man who relied on his strong Christian faith to provide the foundation for his life.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Wallace) Wilbanks, his daughter, Jennifer (Wilbanks) Risdall and her husband, Ted, his son, Matthew Wilbanks and his wife, Caro, his daughter, Lindsay Wilbanks, his four grandchildren, Max Risdall, Alex Risdall, Asher Wilbanks and Reese Wilbanks, his sister, Bettina (Wilbanks) Owens, and several nieces and nephews.

We will be celebrating Bo's well-lived life on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 3 PM at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church, 7127 Bee Caves Road, Austin TX 78746. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that contributions be made to Hillsdale College, https://www.hillsdale.edu/.
