Read MoreHe was always so kind and generous to me when I would visit him and Nancy with Ian. Its been years since I saw them last but visiting them were some of my best memories of living in Boston. I only can say how very sorry I am for Nancy, Ian and the rest of his family. He was one of a kind.

Lovely, honest, so fine a remembrance! Irv taught me the scientific name of those cheeky vervets in Mara Masai in 1972. I remember the resonance of his voice, and the cheer in his eye.
