Not sure what to say?

Brad, or "Mr. Sneeden", as we referred to him as students at Brinson Memorial Elementary School, was a lighthouse for me as an underprivileged, special education Black child growing up in eastern N.C. I recall one day after PE, Mr. Sneeden asked me to stay after class so that he could talk with me. I thought I was in trouble; but I wasn't. He told me that he could see something in me. That if I kept trying my best, I could go places. He very seriously said, "Anthony, always keep your mind and...

Thinking of you and sending prayers of comfort and peace your way....
If there is anything I can do to help during this difficult transition, please email or call me. I would love to hear from you.

Dear Carolyn, I cannot begin to tell you how deeply saddened I was to hear about Brad's passing. My heart goes out to you, Bradford and Olivia.
I very much treasured the friendship that Brad and I had an opportunity to develop when we both were at CSLD. His office was a place of warmth, good humor, straight talk, and M&M peanuts. He will be missed by all.

Carolyn and family, our prayers are with you. I went to New Bern High School with both of you. He will forever will be missed and loved by everyone.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Carolyn,

Jan and I were shocked and saddened to read about Brad's death in the N&O. We immediately went across the street to your home, but it was the day of the funeral and you of course were in New Bern.

It is very sad, for all of us, to realize that such a good, talented man has been lost in the prime of his life.

We want to let you know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you will please let us know if we can help in any...

Brad and I went through school together and I remember that he was a wonderful person. I was saddened to learn that someone who cared about our schools and worked so well with youth has left us.

Hello Mrs. Carolyn,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Brad. Johnny called me right after he called mom and dad (Al & Linda Nesbitt)and I could not believe it. I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the kids. Just to make you smile I will tell you the one thing that stands out in my mind about Mr. Brad. It was on one Halloween night (I think I was 5 or 6 yrs. old) when I went to your house and he came to the door and told me to hold on he was going to get the...

Carolyn, Al and I were in Pa. when we got the call from Johnny about Brad. We know there are no words that we can say to you and Bradford and Olivia that will ease the pain you are feeling. I think there is some peace that comes in remembering all the good times and all the people who were touched by him. You all were really special to us and you have been in our prayers. I am so glad Al got to talk to Brad a short time ago when he stopped by McDonalds in Goldsboro. Love and prayers to...
