Brandon Hansen

BRANDON HANSEN Brandon C. Hansen, 39, a surveillance worker, of Las Vegas, passed away March 22, 2011, after a long and gallant battle against a terrible disease. He was born Nov. 30, 1971, in Cedar City, Utah, and was a 27-year resident of Nevada. Brandon grew up as a young man in St. George, Utah, enjoying boy scouts and baseball and family outings. He Spent the rest of his life in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Brandon enjoyed sports including being an avid Dodgers, Dallas Cowboys and NHRA fan. He loved spending leisure time with his beloved daughter, Sydny, camping, crafts, watching baseball and special time together. He enjoyed NHRA drag races with friends and family and many special times with friends and co-workers. Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Leah Rae Hansen of Cedar City, Utah; and grandfather, Ward Gibson of Hurricane, Utah. Brandon is survived by his lovely daughter, Sydny Hansen; father, Nate Hansen; stepmother, Karen Hansen of Henderson; mother and stepfather, Becky and Kevin Gibson of Caldwell Idaho; brother, Scott Hansen of Tehachapie, Calif.; special grandmother, Lola Gibson of Hurricane, Utah; and many aunts and uncles, mostly in the southern Utah area. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday, March 26, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Donations can be made to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
