I had never been in a choir except for a couple community productions of Amahl with my sister in Colorado and The Gold Tones Show Choir was my first foray in music on my own. Brenda and the Gold Tones embraced me as a tenor and accepted me even though I didn't read music (and only do so slightly even now).
