Brenda WADDELL Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
WADDELL, Brenda Mrs. Brenda Hill Waddell, 64, passed away peacefully on May 19th, 2013. Born in Ellijay , Georgia on May 31, 1948 she lived in Roswell the past 38 years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend she is survived by her mother, Francis Hill; high school sweetheart and husband of 46 years, Gary; children, Stacy (Parke) Crawford and Jeff Waddell; grandchildren, Aly Taylor and Claudia Crawford; Brother, Jerry (Sandy) Hill; sisters, Evelyn (Harold) Hammontree and Sue (Danny) Chasteen. Mrs. Waddell's funeral will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, May 21st, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, 30076. She will be placed at rest at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roswell United Methodist Church and Gates Chapel Church in Ellijay. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Gary....I am just so sad to hear about Brenda. She was a wonderful person - kind and loving and just sweet in the truest sense of the word . I have such fond memories of our days at Reinhardt...especially of ya'll hauling Mac and me around every where. I have always cherished those times and the loving bond you and Brenda shared. Gary....I am just so sad to hear about Brenda. She was a wonderful person - kind and loving and just sweet in the truest sense of the word . Dear Gary,
I have just learned today of Brenda's passing. I know how you two loved each other so much way back during our days at Reinhardt. Of course, she told us how you had been sweethearts even before then. I smile when I see the Reinhardt class picture of her and remember all the laughs we had in the dorm just being silly. I am so sorry that your time together has been cut short way to soon. I am grateful for the times you had together.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Brenda. Our time as neighbors on Stonehedge Rd. were very special. Brenda, Laura, and I went to lunch several times in the past years and I will always remember her as a dear, gentle, and kind person who always had a smile. Henry and I have many fond memories of Brenda. She was truly a kind and gentle soul and we will miss her very much. We are thankful for the special times we shared with her in high school. I will never forget Brenda's love of Georgia Ensemble Theatre, especially the big smile she carried all through the night when Gary & Brenda delighted and surprised us with their presence at RING OF FIRE. We miss her so much and all of our sympathy to Gary & family. Thanks to Malone, Doctor, and Moby for a fabulous living tribute.

Gary and Family, we are so sorry to hear of Brenda's passing. She always went out of her way to make the "end of tax season" a special occasion for the WSMF staff. She brought wonderful snacks and always warmly greeted everyone. She was certainly a very special lady. Sorry we can't be with you today (5/21), as Doug is still working in Belgium and I'm here now visiting. Please know we are praying for all of you.

Life is short.. There is never enough time to tell those we love how much they mean to us. Brenda's life was cut short, but she left us with lots of good, sweet memories. She will be missed by so many people.

What to say is hard to put into words. Brenda has been a family friend from Ellijay since we were in school with Brenda an Gary. have many great memories of Brenda & her Ellijay family. Gary has been the Sandy Springs & Roswell family CPA since he first opened his practice.

I grew up with Brenda. She was my first cousin but also a best friend. We double dated in high school. I followed her to Reinhardt and she was a big sister in our sorority. There has never been a sweeter or kinder person than Brenda. I am sure the angels are celebrating her arrival. My brother Tommy passed away on the 13th so I'm sure he and Brenda are celebrating together.
