Not sure what to say?

This man impacted my life not as a doctor but a thoughtful human being during a time in my life, my son, then 6 years old, had a traumatic brain injury and then ended up with a cyst pressing against his eyeball. I went in for a consult about the cyst and ended up telling Dr Murphy about the trauma my son incurred falling and hitting his head, then Nick my son was about 6 yrs old and lost his entire personality. Everything I know of my son was gone overnight and we didn't know if it would...

Sending my deepest condolences to the family. Dr. Murphy did 4 surgeries on my granddaughter as she needed reconstruction to get a prothetic eye. He was so nice and always showed genuine concern. He wore the coolest Nikes! Your presence and your work will be truly missed in this world Dr. Murphy!

Dr. Murphy performed surgery on my eyes a few years ago when I lived in Georgia. He had a great personality and really knew how to put his patients at ease. I always did recommend him to people. I pray that his family and friends find comfort and ease with the wonderful memories they have of such a fine man.

Dr. Murphy's exceptional skill and professional expertise saved my eyesight. His kindness and patient understanding gave me the courage to continue with hope long after I had given up on the journey. I am so grateful to him and his wonderful staff and deeply saddened by the loss of this amazing physician and friend. I had seen him the week before when he had shown me photos of his new grandson. He was proud of his family and I send to each of you my heartfelt sadness in this loss.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Brent. I was in the same fraternity as Brent and then had the good fortune of rooming with him for two years when I was in law school and he was in med school.
Brent was an absolute joy to be around, and everyone felt it. He was a leader with amazing charisma and he was good to everyone he met. He was two years older than me and he treated me like a little brother--with great care and kindness. He will always be, in my mind, larger than life. A...

Forever Thankful to Dr. Murphy

Rest in Peace Dr. Murphy. I'll never forget you saving my eyes in 06-07. I'll continue to feel blessed by you and forever thankful I was in your care. Many hugs and much condolences to your family and friends. You'll be missed more than youll ever know. Always, Christine Rodriguez

Even after decades of time, my memory of Brent as the commander of our fraternity (Sigma Nu) remains so vivid. Brent was such an inspirational leader who somehow blended an amazing dose of being fun, making being smart look cool, always being principled and leading in a way that created a massive and genuine following.

I remember going to Halls on the River restaurant with over 100 brothers
who proceeded to get into a massive food fight...that i think may have been started by...

Kristin, Brian and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Brent will always be remembered as a great friend.

My sincerest sympathy to the family, coworkers and friends of Dr. Murphy.
