I often think about Brett. All my memories of Brett were all great. He was a smart kid, tough, competitive, and funny. He used to tell me how he loved Rush Hour 2, reenacting every single scene and rattling off every line. I remember passing the football with him in Maine at Thanksgiving dinners, and playing ping pong or street hockey in the basement, or piling up in the hammock. I will forever wish I spent more time with him.

I was in many classes with Brett at NFA. He was not only a brilliant young man but someone who defied expectations with his own brand of individualism perhaps best exemplified by his signature senior year cowboy hat. Brett and I often disagreed discussing politics, literature, or any subject that came up. We even teamed up as 3 person team to win a HS quiz contest. As long as I have known Brett we have competed and held contrasting views and arguments and every blastin' time he made a good...
