Not sure what to say?

It is with much sadness that I have discovered the passing away of Brian Bowyer, who was the perfect gentleman.
I was the band secretary and librarian with the Duke of Wellington's regiment, of which Brian was the Bandmaster.
I first met Brian (prior to my enlisting into the Army) at North East Essex Technical College Operatic Society's production of 'Iolanthe'. Brian was on oboe.
I was a self-taught struggling trombonist on the second desk. On the night of the performance,...

A talented a wonderful man and teacher. He was so dedicated to teaching music, and gracefully, taught us so much about life as well. Rest in peace, Mr. Bowyer. I am so thankful I had you in my life.

To Madeleine, John, Sharon and Brent, Jeff and Elaine, Joyce and Beryl, Gordon and all Brian's family- we were sad to learn of Brian's passing. We knew him from the Civic Orchestra. I sat beside him for many seasons. He always brought his best to rehearsals and performances. I was honored to be able to attend Martha's memorial in...

Rest in peace Brian, you will be missed by all your friends at the Airdrie Over 59 Club. Condolences to Madeline and family.

Sending condolences to dear Sharon and her family. Your dad was a prince Sharon. Love and hugs to you all.

I knew Brian only for a short while in the Saskatoon Concert band. Being close in age, we always had interesting discussions during breaks. He was a true gentleman with fine a sense of humour. I know he will be missed. My sincere condolence to the family.

Brian's very presence made your day better. He was always cheerful and optimistic. Musician, friend, mentor, and a gentleman. When you rejoined the Saskatoon Concert Band, everyone who knew you was delighted to see you, and you will be missed.

Rest in peace, Brian. Thank you for your kindness, your sense of humour, and your musicianship, all of which I admired greatly. Thanks also for being such a great dad and grandad. You will be missed. oxox
