Oh Brian. You are so missed. Love you forever.

Driving home today, a song played on my Spotify discover that you would have absolutely loved and introduced me to while we drove around LA. For a moment, I felt you there next to me, and I felt a lightness. When I remember you, I remember your shining smile, our inside jokes, and your courageous heart. It is unfathomably difficult to put into words how unfair losing you still feels one year later. You will live on in a special place in my heart reserved just for you. I miss you. I love you.

God bless your soul Brian. I´d like to send my sincerest condolences to the Carlton family. I met Brian about three years ago in Joshua tree, around a camp fire with friends. Behind Brian´s charming smile and silliness (which I later came to understand more) was a vast depth of empathy and compassion. It was nice to start off our friendship in that manner.
