Thinking of Brian and his family at this difficult time of year. This photo is of Brian with Judy Threet as they were the musicians at our 25th wedding anniversary "re-up" At Rafter Six Ranch Resort.

Brian was a great teacher and friend at FSU in the mid 60s. He taught me a lot about life and professionalism and fun. Ed Martin

Brian was one of my favorite teachers at the U of PA over 50 years ago.

Brian was an extraordinary mentor for me as an undergraduate student at the U of Calgary. His book on Modal Logic is a cherished possession on my bookshelf. He co-supervised my Honours thesis. Brian generously spent many hours working with me in his office doing formal proof using mathematical logic. Each work session began with Brian sharpening a set of pencils. This ritual of sharpening pencils before working on logic was a way of clearing our minds to make our minds sharp.
