My mom, Joanne Durkin, called me at home this past Saturday with the very sad news that Brian had passed away. Needless to say, we shed quite a few tears over his passing.
When I was in grade school I was very good friends with his daughter, Lisa. During one of our games, I believe it was basketball, he yelled from the stands "Turkey" thus, starting the nickname for me that carried on thru 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at St. John's in Milwaukie.
