I've just heard this horrible news. I can't even believe it. Brian was just a wonderful man who I thought would live happily ever after. He was very special to me though we lost touch...but still a very precious friend of mine and I am so terribly sad to hear this....I will always remember his sweet laughter, his kind and gentle ways, his fun and exciting spirit....This world should have had him much longer. Artisphere in Greenville, SC won't be the same without Brian. My sister & brother in law were visiting from CO. They lived just a few miles from Brian. In our conversations I bought a tee shirt. Many of us in the town of Greenville, SC, are just learning about Brian's death. A friend of mine bought his painting of Johnny Cash once when he was here, and he is so proud of it! I think I speak for this whole town that Brian's presence will be sorely missed for the rest of our Artisphere days. Sending much sympathy and love to all his family.
