None of you know me nor have I had the privilege to have known Brian. But as a 66 year old retired Colonel with 26.5 years of service, two tours in Vietnam and one serving in desert storm, I KNOW what dying in the line of duty means. Brian is a true American hero and I thank him and you, his family, for his and your huge albeit sorrowful contribution to my country's security. Please accept my sympathy. My sympathy to the family. I know the pain and loss of a loved one and pray for healing for the family. I did not know Brian but I do know the heartache of the loss of a loved one.

He laid down his life for us; there is no greater sacrifice, and his reward will be great. The LORD bless and keep his family.

Brian was taken from us far too soon but we appreciate his sacrifice on our behalf. May his loved ones receive all the love and support they need.
