To Brian's family; I will never forget our 4 day solo canoe trip from our Boy Scout base camp in the Boundary Waters National Park. All was good until we got to Lake Saginaw. I knew Brien during our school years in Mahtomedi. We both grew up on the WBL lakefront a few blocks apart. The Brien I knew was full of life. We carpooled to MHS together. He in my `53 Ford and me on the back of his Vespa and later in his Corvair. We sailed and waterskied with each other on our respective boats. I just received the news from my daughter Courtney and I am very shocked and saddened by the news. I have so many fond and sometimes crazy memories of all the things we did together-- softball, racquetball, golf and the jackalopes in some crazy bar in Duluth.
