Bruce M. Barbe

Bruce M. Barbe passed away peacefully at home in Southlake, TX on Sunday, August 24th, 2025 at the age of 78. A diagnosis of MSA-C several years ago did not impact him daily until recently. Bruce was born November 26th, 1946 in Waynesburg, PA. Preceding him in death were his parents Charles Barbe, Jr. and his mother Frances McClelland Barbe, along with a brother, Mervin Barbe and a sister, Eva Louise Longo Miller. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Fichtner Barbe and sons Ryan (Crystal) Barbe and Sean (Kimberly) Barbe and his treasured grandchildren, Jacob, Drew, and Violet Barbe. Also surviving are a brother, Charles Barbe III of Rochester, NY, a sister, Judy Ross of Greensboro, and several nieces and nephews.Bruce's career was in telecommunications, having worked for Stromberg-Carlson, Continental Telephone, Contel, GTE and lastly, Verizon. He enjoyed many sports, both as a spectator and participant, but his passion was golf. He also liked to travel and frequently managed to combine golf with his trips. He endured the symptoms of MSA-C for nine years with courage and spunk. Per his wish, there will be no memorial service and his remains will be interred in the family plot in Monongahela Hill Cemetery in Greensboro, PA.
