Not sure what to say?

Bruce was a fun and interesting attorney. I learned a lot from him over the years serving as a court reporter in depositions and at ONU Law School when he would have his students present a mock trial. May you grieve him well. He touched many lives in a very positive way.

Bruce was 18 when we met at AU and reminded friends for a lifetime up to a phone chat on his last birthday this year. He took that opportunity to share his joy at the success of Diane, Alex and Brandon, as well as their partners and his grandchildren. We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bruce French, and our hearts go out to Alex and Brandon and Diane. We were grateful to have had the opportunity to know him and his family through his faithful attendance at Dayton Friends Meeting.

Bruce was such a kind man. I got to know him through Dayton Friends Meeting. He offered help to my wife Connie and I without either of us asking beforehand. If Bruce saw a need, he acted on it! I'm so sorry for his family! We were blessed to know him. His gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

I was a student at ONU and was blessed with having Bruce as a Prof in Civil Procedure. We became friends and played racquetball and had dinner together a few times. A few years later I took the bar and I was confident I aced that part of the exam. (I passed). Bruce kept up with me and we talked many times and exchanged thoughts on some cases. I am one of thousands who were lucky to have been his friend. I am sorry to hear he has passed. My thoughts are with his family.

We came to know Bruce, Alex, and Brandon through Dayton Friends Meeting. We valued Bruce's constant good cheer and his call for social justice for all. A Quaker through and through. Greetings and sympathy to Alex and Brandon. May you live lives that honor your father.
