Not sure what to say?

My relationship with Bruce was professional. I am an attorney and Bruce was a real estate appraiser. On many occasions he was my expert witness providing the Court with insight in the value of real estate. The first court trial I worked with Bruce was about 20 years ago, the most recent trial was last year. Bruce was respected in the legal community. We will miss you.

Dear Penny and family, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Alese Greene
Your State Farm Agent

I had breakfast with Bruce every week for two years. It was a very pivotal time of my life and who I am today still reflects Bruce in many aspects. I am most sad to be so far away and unable to be with all of you who knew him as well.

My Condolances to Penny and family. I was lucky to have been a tenant of Penny & Bruce many years ago and they treated me like family. I still have a lovely note that they wrote me when I moved.Bruce and Penny were a great inspiration to me as I was a young adult. Bruce you will be greatly missed by many. Penny my heart and healing go out to you and the kids and grandkids.

I travelled 5000 miles to surf with Bruce, such was the magnetism of this man. I am pleased that I managed to spend a week in Soquel last summer, when we surfed nearly every day. It wasn't a good week for swell, but we made the most it, a week that is now even more poignant. He was a successful business and compassionate family man, who always found the time to make people feel special. The fact that he will be missed as far away as London, makes me realise how big a gap he will leave...

Go gently in to "that good night" alone but un afraid because you have left your mark. Your generosity of spirit and love of life will remain with us forever.
With fondest memories and much love. Meg

Dear Penny,
It's hard for me to imagine that Bruce is gone. I will miss our weekly Rotary meetings, our fun lunches where we discussed all that was wrong with the world and could be fixed. Bruce was an amazing guy who had more passions than most people dream of. He was incredibly devoted to his family and friends. I will miss Bruce and am sorry for your loss.

Family and friends, faith, the cars, the guitars, the houses, the office, the ocean. He had endless irons in the fire. And they all burned white-hot. His mortal body could not keep up. His spirit could not be contained. Bruce has left that mortality, leaving us behind, and leaving us wondering why we couldn't be a bit more like him.
We grieve with you, Penny. We love you.

Lyn and Scott
