Hoge was a fine christian man, I met Hoge when he ran for office in the early 90s and he later became chairman of the republican party of Estill County, and we were proud to have him. Thanks for all your service to our great country, you will be missed.

So sorry for your loss...Rev. Hockensmith and my father, Dr. A.D. Slone were great friends when he was pastor at the First Baptist Church in Paintsville. I was only 7 at the time but I remember him well also, because he was frequently at our house. He performed several marriages at our home and I am attaching a photo of one. My father and mother are on the right, the names of the couple escape me.

I am so sorry for your loss but thankful for the celebration they are having in Heaven. He has left a great legacy and a wonderful family many of whom are following his leadership. I am glad that we are part of the family in a very minute way. I am sending my deepest sympathy. Keep the good work going. Love Nedra & Browne
