Not sure what to say?

I was a 12 year old boy in great pain with a condition that multiple Doctors failed to diagnose. Dr. Whitaker then became involved and correctly diagnosed my condition as a rare osteomyelitis staff infection between two discs in my lower back. I not only remember his competency but also how he kept after me to keep up with my schoolwork while hospitalized. I just learned of his passing and felt the need to say something in memory of a fine physician and man.

Dear Tom and Lissa, my sincere sympathy for your loss. Love and prayers.

Our deepest sympathies for your loss. We feel privileged to have known Keith and we think of your family often.

Dr. Whittaker was indeed a perfectionist.about 30 years ago my daughter was in an auto accident. We were told she would never move again, her neck was broken.Dr. Whittaker operated, came out and told us the operation was a sucess, she would live but had no chance of movment. He then told us he would like to operate again immediatly, that he was not totaly satisfied with the operation. Of course we said yes , operate. A few weeks later my daughter moved her little finger! Slowly she regained...

Debbie, Maureen, Lucy & Pete - I am so sorry for your loss - I know how special Grandpa Whittaker was to you all.

Dear Pat and family
I met Keith in the Fall of 1949 when I entered Rockhurst High and he was a senior. He has always been the epitome of "class" in every arena of life. He saved my dad's life in 1973 after an auto accident and gave him 13 more years of life. May the Lord reward him as only the Lord can do! May each of you know the closeness of the Lord at this hard time of closing a long and storied chapter of family history. May we trust that we will renew the bonds of friendship...

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Please accept my condolences. I was a patient of Dr. Whittaker around 1992. He performed an emergency back operation on me about 11:00 pm. I'm sure he could have waited the following day to operate, but he was a dedicated doctor and new it could not wait. Thanks to his dedication I was able to fully recover and returned to work and raise my family. He was truly a fine human being and great a doctor. Thanks. DBotello.

I am so sorry to hear of this tremendous loss. I can still hear Dr Whittaker telling fabulous stories with family and friends at your breakfast table after choir on Sunday mornings. Those are some great memories. Thoughts and prayers come from my family to yours. Love to all, Maura Houston (and Helena) and Jim Rennell.
