My friend Carl. What those words convey! So many memories, so much emotion.
He died early Sunday morning, Nov. 17, 2013.
We had been acquaintances and working colleagues since the 1970's when we met on university committees and in the Faculty Senate. We became friends in the early 1990's through our mutual interests in computer technology and ECU campus technology initiatives.

I'll miss Carl -- our memorable public debate arranged by Father Mulholland, his pointing out that E = mc squared antedated Einstein, his support of his friends, his reports of sailing (to Bermuda, too) and of a great struggle across Darien.
Visiting carladler.org, lovely and fun to be sure, is unfortunately the best we can do now.
