We were so saddened when we heard of Carl's death. We will never forget the wonderful years when you and Carl were major players in our lives..your kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness and fun.

Betty,
As I put our lives into perspective, it is almost unfathomable to realize that we have been friends for almost 50-years.
I cannot express to you how disappointed I am to not be able to attend Carl's funeral tomorrow, but I have a family responsibility in Denver on Friday that will keep me away from being there for you.
I am so sorry for your loss, but I know Carl's last years were not his best. In spite of that, his quality of life, during his prolonged illness, would not have had any meaning without you and your constant support and attention to his everyday needs.
Every day you showed him your love. This is what every couple says while taking their wedding vows, but you not only pledged it many years ago, you have lived it day by day.
I am so sorry for your loss, but only hope that Carl's children and extended family acknowledge how devoted you were to his needs, which is the ultimate expression of love and devotion.
Your friend for life,
Elizabeth R. Wisznia

Lorraine and Gwen - What beautiful photos shared of your Dad and all of the Eberts family. My thoughts and sympathy are with all of you. I have such fond memories of meeting him, in addition to joining the whole family for a Holiday meal at "the farm". Your dad and your family will always have a very special place in my heart.

Dear Eberts Family,
Our sincere condolences on your loss of Carl. He was always a kind and friendly guy.
Georgie's history with the Family goes waaaay back to the '50's and the St. Francis of Assisi connection. Carl would drive his "little brother" Elmer on dates to the downtown movies -- and also to our 8th Grade Prom at the old Audubon Tea Room in Audubon Park.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Best wishes,
Dr. and Mrs. Roger D. Smith, Uptown, New Orleans

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Mr Carl was a good man growing up as a child my dad worked many years for Mr. Carl and when we would go over to the home in Metairie he always made us feel like family. When I left to go away to college he made sure I had everything I needed. Let's not forget the AWESOME Christmas parties at Central Grapics. May GOD COMFORT YOU IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME.

I'm sure he looks down from heaven with graditude for all the sacrifices you made for him to keep him healthy and comfortable. I have never witness a more selfless love and I only pray that I will be able care for my husband, if ever needed, as you did for Carl.
