Carl studied painting with me on Tuesdays for quite a few years and I looked forward to talking with him, and watching his paintings - which reflected his deep love for family - develop.
I bereave his gentle, kind spirit - a man who would always be sitting in the hallway around 7 pm, taking a break to call the patients that he had "worked on" during the day.
I will miss you Carl - the class misses you as well; a deep sense of grief descended on those of us who knew you when...

The Doc was a beacon of wisdom in our neighborhood in Shrewsbury. He was kind, caring, thoughtful, and supportive in his own understated way. And as with many talented people, he somehow made life look easy. I am very saddened by the news of his passing and will hold close many fond memories of him, including his 'great capacity for fun.'
