Deepest condolences to his beloved family! My husband coached with him under John Sain as head coach in 1970-71. Always respected as a great man, coach, husband, and father. RIP Coach Buddy!

Coach buddy goins,taught me life lesson as well as football lessons,the days of sitting in his office talking over game plans and him telling things that a father would tell his son about life..he was my mentor as I molded my football coaching style after some of his ways,I coach football from youth to the high school level and used his system to not only be the best conditioned team on the field but the toughest smartest team and I was a disaplend tuff but loving kind of coach and coached...

I am so very sad to learn of Buddy´s passing. I got to know him over the past decade as his financial advisor (prior to my retirement) and friend. I enjoyed the hours of time we spent talking about football history in Miami and the South. With me having grown up in Miami in the 60s and having played sports there, we knew many of the same coaches and people. The list of people he knew reads like a "who´s who" of football dignitaries. I thank God for placing coach Goins in my life . He was instructional in coaching me to (two) state championships.he was a fatherly role model.l will continue to pray and lift the family up in prayer you have my deepest sympathy and condolences.
