Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home - Evendale/Blue Ash Obituary

Carl W. Huster II passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born August 29th, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Carl W. and Mildred R. (nee Staub) Huster. In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his brother Thomas W. Huster, as well as niece Katy, and nephew Jeffrey.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Paula (nee Litmer) Huster.

Devoted father to Kevin (Emily) Huster.

Cherished brother to Charlene McGill (Tom), Dave (Debby), Jim, Greg (Chris), Joe (Molly) and Ken (Kelly), as well as brother-in-law to Suzanne (the late Thomas).

Adoring grandfather of Claire and Chloe Huster.

Carl also leaves behind nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as many dear friends.

Carl was a simple man who found deep meaning in the values he carried through life: service, loyalty, and love for family. He served proudly in the United States Army, and that chapter of his life remained a cornerstone of who he was. Carl's heart was always with his fellow veterans—he never hesitated to lend an ear, offer support, or simply share a story with those who had walked a similar path. In his final days, Carl found comfort in the company of his family, reminiscing together over the moments that defined his journey. His life was well-lived, not in grand gestures, but in steady devotion—to his country, to his community, and most of all, to those he loved.

Visitation will take place from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am, Saturday, June 14, 2025, both at St. Saviour Catholic Church, 4136 Myrtle Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45236.

Memorial contributions in Carl’s honor may be made to charity of readers choice.

Not sure what to say?

I'm sorry for everyone's loss. There was something about Carl that made him special to the Regina Class of '70. Everyone loved him and I think he enjoyed his popularity with our class. So glad he got to celebrate our 50th reunion with us. Rest in peace, Carl. Hugs to you, Paula!

Your smile and laugh will be missed. I was blessed to have shared family and friend memories. Pop that Burger and toast the new saint.

Dear Paula
So sorry for your loss of Carl. My thoughts and prayers are there in sympathy with you.

Kevin - was sad to hear the news of your dad but thinking of our times together with him brought many smiles. We had many good laughs with him when he would visit you at OU and even in Key West. Every time I saw him over the years he was always trying to rally the boys together for another guys road trip.

We loved Carl & he gave us even more love back. Will miss your dad and hope he’s on a road trip with the boys right now.

Kirky

Carl spoke of his family as the true highlight of his life.
He cherished his memories of Regina and its impact on his life was truly evident. He recalled many of his fond Regina memories to me whenever we spoke. He was one to always remember to place a happy birthday call to his friends without fail.
He was a beloved friend and will be missed.

The rare occasion Carl downed a Burger. Yea, right. I'm sure he's enjoying some cold Burgers with Cunningham during a break in Trivia.
Keep one cold for Fang.

Carl was our neighbor for 20 years. Always kind, loved children, and neighborhood watchman. He will be missed.
