Carl "Steiner"

You are one of my very best friends and comrade and you will be greatly missed. You are a true American hero and defender of freedom. You inspired everyone that you met and were always thoughtful and giving. Not a day goes by that we don't touch something that you gave us, spiritually or materially. Thanks for the 40+ years of great and lasting memories. You will never be forgotten.
God Bless You and your families.

I served with Carl as a Gunny in the Lincoln reserve unit. My sympathys to the family. Your loss is also ours. Semper Fi!

I was proud to call Carl my friend and brother in Christ. Serving with him on the Deacon council is something I will always treasure. He was a man's man in whom the Lord had done a mighty work and who always gave God the glory. I'm certain he heard upon entering heaven "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Carl was a one of a kind, with his cigar hanging out of his mouth,he looked tough but was one of the best people that you have ever met. I will miss shooting with him and his friendship.

Marty: I want to express my gratitude for knowing your father. I talked with him by telephone just a few weeks ago, and most certainly will miss him. Your father was truly one of a kind. I hope you and your family are doing well in this difficult time. Give me a call sometime.
