Carl's favorite mountain peak and area today, untouched by animal or human footprints so far this year due to the vast volume of snow! Skiing season will begin soon and hopefully some of our friends will be there.....

Thinking of Carl and our memories on the mountain peaks in Mt Assiniboine Provincial Park, Canada. While winter was just beginning in this photo. the area has now had a record snowfall of three times the normal amount. Our friend Erling Strom, the owner of the back-country lodge would be in skiers' Heaven.

My condolences to Jon, Susan, and family. Carl's presence will be missed. I feel blessed that I had the good fortune of knowing Carl for over 50 years. We shared many good times on the trails and the peaks in the Canadian Rockies with friends from Calgary, Canmore, Toronto, and Switzerland. I was delighted the year that Ilse joined all of us.
