It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carla Sue Westbrook Griffin, 58, of Parkersburg. She passed away August 16, 2025 at home, surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born August 6, 1967, she was the daughter of Stephen and Janet Westbrook. She was born alongside her twin sister, Carey, with whom she shared a lifelong bond. Carey provided Carla care and comfort in her final days and was by her side right to the end.

In her early years, Carla had fond memories participating in her Brownie troop and also enjoyed doing chalk art on the sidewalk alongside her twin. She loved life on the farm, horseback riding and being outdoors. She was a member of St. Marys High School’s class of 1985.

In her adult years, Carla enjoyed fashion, hair and makeup. She had the opportunity to take part in several modeling events showcasing bridal wear. She loved beach trips with her husband, David, and thrift store shopping with her twin Carey. Carla had a giving heart.

Carla is survived by her parents, Stephen and Janet Westbrook of St. Marys; her daughter, Kayla Hashman; granddaughters, Peyton and Scarlett; her twin sister, Carey (Chris) Bailey; sisters, Stacia (Lloyd) Roberts and Julie (Chris) Fetty; and her loyal, dog Trixie.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Griffin.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Housecalls Hospice and a special thanks to nurses Brittany, Angela, Kelly, and Tina for their compassionate care and kindness.

Per Carla’s wishes, there be no services. We encourage friends to make a donation to an animal shelter in honor of Carla’s memory.

Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, South Parkersburg, is honored to serve the Griffin family.
